Title: Plank Doors
Date: 1/29/2009
Powerful
and
simple, these fully planked doors make a statement. Plank style doors
were first seen on cottages from the Cotswold region of England;
homes that conjure up images of storybook homes as well as old world
dwellings. Other architecturally styled homes that make use of this
simple strength include the Tudor style.
And to help
complete the look and feel, we offer an array of accessories. You can
add clavos, straps, speakeasies, and iron grates to truly bring out
the authentic origins of these doors.
We offer these
in-stock doors in both Mahogany and Andean Walnut, or let us build a
custom door for you in a wood species of your choosing. Our custom
plank doors are found in our Solid Door Collection.
The
Andean Walnut
door is offered at 2 1/4” thickness. The natural distressed
features seen in this wood species compliment many architectural
styles. It finishes
beautifully in light or dark stain.
Our
hardwood doors
offer an open pore grain and a beautiful finish. Like all hardwood
species, variances in color, grain, and appearance - is one of the
beautiful features of a real
wood
door!
All
of our solid
wood doors are built with engineered rails and stiles, groove-dowel
construction and floating solid panels. This provides the best
stability.
